Disposition: Mikuni is a jinba in middle-age, with the experience of life behind him. He's been tempered, shaped, and in some respects mellowed out from his younger days. At one point, he held a burning hatred and disdain for humans, but that has since faded (albeit, some wariness still remains). Instead, he's an elegant jinba, blessed with youthful good looks and a sense of humor and perspective that's helped him adjust to the changing world. Said humor also means he's willing to poke fun at others, even when it might not be the best decision. He tends to be more calm than not and to think before he acts, preferring to make sure he's making the right choice rather than make the wrong one.

He's also willing to counsel others similarly - to tell them to let events play out or to give something a chance. He trusts relatively easily or is at least willing to extend the benefit of the doubt if he's not given a reason to be suspicious to treat someone differently. He's also more at ease in social situations than some others (even among humans), willing to talk and chat and make light, as well as ease conversation with anecdotes and his own particular sense of humor (and he's not above making jokes at other's expense). He's a bit of a wanderer at heart and is perfectly willing to ingratiate himself in whatever community he finds himself in.

Despite this light exterior, he does carry with him a sense of guilt and regret over actions he's taken in his younger days. When he was much younger, he was essentially a child soldier leading a band of child soldiers, intent on taking revenge on people he thought had hurt him and it was only with a great deal of effort and outside help that he was able to move beyond the trauma that was inflicted on him. It was only because he was able to live alongside a human for much of the rest of his life that he was able to finally settle the hatred and fear in his own heart. Even if he also hurt and killed people prior to that.

While he acknowledges that he's changed and even made amends for the decisions he made when he was a boy, he still carries the weight of those decisions with him - along with the trauma of having lived through a period of war and abuse. At one point as a boy he ate human flesh in an attempt to take some sort of twisted revenge for the death (and consumption) of his own parents and was only turned away from a path of violence, murder, and death by an older jinba who gave him some much needed perspective. Giving others perspective, now that he's grown and lived, is something he tries to do. As a result he he is more than willing to tell a friend when they're being foolish and try to drag them into seeing sense. Despite preferring words to fighting, he absolutely will fight if he thinks there is a need, either out of self-defense or to defend others.

Suitability: Mikuni is a fantastical creature from a fantastical setting; he has physical strength and the maturity to deal with rapidly changing situations. While he might find himself confused or baffled by some of the things in Noctium (especially the more advanced technology), he won't necessarily feel as if he doesn't belong or like he's completely out of place. He'll be able to grasp the concepts he encounters, even if it's filtered through the lens of feudal Japan (albeit feudal Japan with centaurs). He'll likely be someone willing to put in work to help others and perfectly willing to socialize and try to make the best of the situation, however strange he might find it. He's not much of a warrior anymore, although he certainly has the ability to fight should conflict arise.

Condition upon arrival: Alive and healthy.

Abilities: As a jinba, Mikuni is much stronger than a typical human, having the musculature and power of a horse in his lower body and has a great deal of upper body strength to go along with it (he does, after all, know how to use a bow). He can run as fast as a horse (of course) and also haul heavy loads for great distances. Conversely, he also needs to eat more than your typical human.

Aside from his innate physical abilities, Mikuni knows how to survive off of the land - hunting, farming, scavenging, and foraging. He can use a bow to decent effect and also has some knowledge of rudimentary first aid techniques. Socially, he's able to smooth over slights and seems to have a natural feel for being charming and how to talk to people.
